come as you are

I realized I have an obsession. An obsession with documentaries and moving films about the value of life. One film in particular is the Pat Tillman Documentary. If you haven't heard of it, you can watch the movie trailer HERE
This beautiful man with perfect bone structure played for the Arizona Cardinals on a signing contract worth millions. He was born an athlete. At a young age, Football became his number one aspiration, and he quickly fell in love. He worked day in and day out to accomplish his dream and playing in the NFL. Unfortunately a short while after finally accomplishing his dream, his course of life changed dramatically. He felt he needed to accomplish and become something more in his life
and Football could not give him that.

With no warning, he left his professional career with the Arizona Cardinals and enlisted in the United States Military as a Marine one year after 9/11. Bad timing placed Pat Tillman in Afghanistan during the outbreak in the War on Terrorism.
Out at war during an usual calming day, Pat and his squadron were traveling through a rocky canyon when they suddenly heard explosions. Frantically, they immediately changed to war mode. Throughout this firefight in disoriented terrain, Tillman had been killed by one of his fellow soldiers—and those soldiers did in fact know who they were shooting at. The U.S. Government broke the news to his family and instead of telling them that he had been killed by his own men, they changed the story. In fact, they altered the story completely to where it seemed  far beyond suspicious. His family later investigates and finds out the propoganda the Government had been using against their Son.

I don't want to ruin the masterpiece of this Documentary with my pathetic summary so you may check it out yourself. But it got me thinking, what techniques do people use in order to lie and scheme us into situations and ordeals that basically leads us to our death (figure of speech). There is so much that goes on within our own societal Government and one's head that we cannot comprehend nor figure out what is Truth or what is a Lie. But on a more positive note, thinking about the secrecies and destruction going around in the World, I decided to list off a few of my favorite quotes that have helped inspire me and keep me looking forward:

"If you don't make mistakes, you aren't really trying."

"The question isn't who is going to let me; it's who is going to stop me."

"If you are going through hell, keep going."

"Your life is your message to the world. Make it inspiring."

"Life is too short, so kiss slowly, laugh insanely, love truly and forgive quickly."

.LoveLife.
