The other day I decided to go with my Mama and run a few errands. She had to run in and buy some groceries and I decided to stay out in the car and veg out for a little bit, maybe take a nap. Instead of taking a quick power nap as planned,
I was caught up in people watching.
My mind was running a thousand miles an hour with several different thoughts and emotions as I was able to see scenario after scenario. One in particular, there was a brittle old woman in her late 80s slowly walking with her cart to her old 1980s pick up. Behind her was a tall dark middle aged man that clearly had somewhere to be with the way he was speedily walking. Consequently, they happened to be parked next to each other by luck and as she slowly placed each item from her cart into the car, the middle aged man quickly lost his temper and yelled at the helpless lady who could only move so fast. Her cart seemed to be blocking his door and even though he moved it aside, he forcefully moved the cart with the raunchiest look on his face. He clearly wanted to make a scene and create a statement that he was pissed off due to the fact that this old woman made him waste five seconds of his life.
Five seconds he wasn't willing to waste.
As I observed this, I couldn't help but think, "how do we carry ourselves." Are we the helpless old lady that views the world in beauty and moves at a slow and steady pace in order to do things the right way or are we the ronchy middle aged man that walks heavily with an attitude and views everything and everyone
as something that gets in the way.
It made me really view myself in the way I carry my image as well as look on others; how do I stand outside of others around me. There is always a reason behind every action and thought and it may make sense to others,
so do not judge them for what they do.
They are just doing things their own way just as you do.
