Many of you know the saying, "April showers bring May flowers"
but in Utah... it's the complete opposite.
It's been raining on and off for the past five days
and it's supposed to rain all next week too.
Driving home from downtown Salt Lake last night, I've never hydroplaned before and I ended up hydroplaning every thirty seconds, no lie.
But thankfully today has been a somewhat Sunny day
so I decided to take a drive up a canyon near my house.
I love how everything looks after it rains. Everything is green, the skyline looks amazing and I love stepping outside and smelling fresh air (instead of a nasty pollution smell from the factory near my condo).
And even though the April showers were a little late,
I still ran across some May flowers.
Everyone keeps dogging on all this rain but I love it.
I'm alright with another week of rain. Just as long as I can still hike a day or two, mud wrestle at least once and hydroplane on the freeway some more. But for now as the weather is still a little crappy, tonight I am heading to one of my favorite restaurants CPK (California Pizza Kitchen) for my girl's Birthday dinner.
