i live this life until this life won't let me

This past week I have thought a lot about what I take for granted. What items or people mean more than others. What I have that others do not. People that are in my life that others' wish they could have. Things I can do that others dream they could. One thing I have taken for granted is Nature.

So I live in Utah, right? Despite all the haters in Utah that complain about the bi-polar weather that Utah seems to uphold, I for one love what it has to offer. One day you can be laying out by the pool soaking up the sun while the next day you are mud wrestling in the rain or waking up to a fresh new patch of snow on your front lawn. Rain, Snow or Sun I love Utah. I have never been in a location with such diversity in weather changes in my entire life. I love the fact that during Summerbreak, I have the chance to Snowboard and Wakeboard in the same week. But I have to say thank you to Mother Nature for giving me the first perfect Summer week I have had since my break has started.

Because this last week shot 80s all seven days, I was able to do my two Summer loves; hiking and boating. But this last experience out on the lake was different. Different because I had attempted something I had never attempted before and is on my Summer Bucket List; to jump the wake on the wakeboard.

I wasn't able to clear the wake (obviously) for my first try jumping, but I was able to get some pretty good air so I'm impressed with myself. So thank you to my friends Cook, Chad and Stevan for pushing me into jumping the wake and pushing me to take a risk. Boating is one thing I am able to take for granted so I might as well use it to the best of my ability.
