i whistle when i work

Hopefully those of you who read my random ramblings in my blog remember that a couple of days ago I wrote about a job interview at Aflac to be an insurance agent. But first off, let me back track and tell you what happened inbetween my interview and call-back. The day after I had my second interview at Aflac, I received a phone call from the manager at Wingers Restaurant that he wanted to interview me for a waitressing position. I sat down with the manager for maybe 2 minutes when he surprisingly said, "what the heck... you want to start now?"

Caught off guard, I was too excited in the fact that I finally was offered a waitressing job that I completely forgot about my Aflac interview the day before. Aflac ended up calling me back that afternoon after I received an offer at Wingers with the news that I had received a job becoming apart of their team as an insurance agent. I told them I could not take the job (which is fine, I didn't want to work there anyways). Now I am officially a waitress at Wingers, duh :)

Last night was my first night training to be a waitress at Wingers and I loved every minute of it. I loved the pressure I felt waitressing five tables (one in which had 12 people on it), I loved the calamity of trying to memorize the menu as I was taking down orders, I loved the bickering I received from the other waitresses for being the "new girl," I loved smelling like sticky fingers and popcorn all night. I loved everything about it. And please, if you're ever hungry and Wingers comes across your mind, I would love to serve you. Specifically some of my friends (you know who you are). As for Aflac, peace out. It was an amazing experience to be sitting in a room full of corporates and being offered a job that pays over 50 grand a year, but it just wasn't for me. If any of you are interested in becoming an insurance agent and want the job, let me know. They have a spot they need to fill.
