Do you ever have days where you just want to be alone.
Days that you want to hangout with yourself and take a break from everyone and everything. Days where you runaway from the worries of the world and find a content place to just think. Think about what has happened in your life, what you are doing right now that has changed from the past and what you may be doing down the road.
I know I have those days and let me tell you, those days are definitely needed.
It may sound wierd but come to find out, I love hanging out with myself and having "alone time" I guess you could call it. Sure, I may look like the biggest loser in Happy Valley roaming around with a bright yellow backpack bymyself or walking into Farrs ice cream just to sit and have a frozen yogurt alone, but I can honestly tell you, I need that time. Time to figure out my weaknesses, my strengths and my dreams. Time to figure out my goals in life and decide what trail I really want to take. Time to sit down and view what and who really matters in my life and what can put on hold or placed in the trash. Time to figure out what brings me true joy and happiness and time to get to know who I really am. Who really is Alicia.
"You have to leave the city of your comfort and go into the wilderness of your intuition. What you'll discover will be wonderful.
What you'll discover is yourself. "
What you'll discover is yourself. "
It sounds kind of dumb, I know. But I thought the same thing just last year when my Mom told me she loves spending time getting to know herself better and I can honestly say, it has been the best learning and theraputic experience for me. To realize that having that alone time is crucial to seeing the person you really are when no one is around you. No one is there to tell you what to do. No one is there to pressure you into anything you feel unsure about. No one is there to watch your every move. It is just you and only you; and to see how you are without them somehow strengthens me and makes me realize that if I can just psych myself up and just be me, I realize I am better, happier and more myself even if other people come in the picture.
You may be questioning this post right about now but I was right there with you not to long ago questioning the same thing, but I promise.... I promise if you want to find yourself and who you really are, it will be the best thing you could ever do and something that you will never regret. You will learn to love and accept who you are and who you want to become.
You will find you.
You will find you.
