Today I witnessed perfection.
I witnessed a moment in my life that was precious beyond all measures.
Today I witnessed support.
I witnessed the meaning of life and death and the beauty that comes with it.
Today I witnessed love.
A beautiful love story that will last forever.
Sixty three years filled with pure joy, happiness and love. Sixty three years of a couple, that in my eyes, have the meaning of love down to a 'T'. As I calmly sat next to the most incredible father, grandfather and husband expressing story after story of the amount of love he has for his nine beautiful children and angelic wife and how much meaning and beauty they have given him. I listened as he expressed how much his wife meant to him, the beauty he saw in her, and how breathtaking she looked every time he laid eyes on her. The way her love and beauty brought a new meaning of life and light into his world the moment he met her. The way her intelligence and integrity shined every second of every day. He talked about the moments he laid besides her at night smiling because she was near his side and woke up knowing she was still laying there besides him. He knows he needs her in his life just as much as she needs him. She completes him just as much as he completes her and he loves her as much as she loves him.
It is true love at its finest.
It is true love at its finest.
Today I witnessed the purest and simplest love between a husband and wife. As he sat by her side holding her hand with one as he softly stroked with the other telling her almost every minute how much he loved her and how beautiful she is. I witnessed tears of love as he watched his beautiful wife leave this life and realizing that she is waiting for him with open arms in the next.
Today I witnessed a love story reveal itself and come to life.
Sixty three years of the purest love you can ever witness. Grandpa, you have an incredible heart and soul that I admire very much. Grandma was the luckiest woman in the world to have you by her side. Watching and hearing your love story makes me want what you have and I hope that someday I will find it. To Grandma, you are the most amazing and incredible woman I have come to know throughout my life. You are an inspiration to everyone you have met in this life and I know you will continue to inspire those in the next. I will love you always and forever and I will forever have a piece of you
with me every second of everyday.
with me every second of everyday.

ReplyDeleteAlicia I'm sorry for your loss, it's always hard.
But it sounds like you've got such strength and such a good attitude at this time, and can clearly see all of the pure BEAUTY in this situation.
This is the sweetest story, and what amazing examples you have.
No matter what happens in this life, i think it's amazing to know that you can look back at your grandparents, smiling, and think "They made it! They did it! And I can find this same love someday of my own."
So beautiful.
I can't wait to see you this week.
I love you very much.
Thank you so much Tiff. Everything you just said means a lot to me and I admire and love your sweet spirit and friendship so much. I couldn't have met a more beautiful and loving friend. I always love and can't wait for the next time we hangout. Love you so much girl, words can't even express
