A special shout out to my beautiful mama and her birthday last Saturday. I apologize for being late, but it is better to be late then never, right? I do not know if you will ever come across this post, but if you do, I want you and the rest of the World to know how much I love you.
How much I respect and honor you. How much I look up to you and need you as a mum and friend. You are the greatest gift that God has ever given me and I am thankful he placed me into your life as well as you in mine. Without fail, you have been there for me. I have seen it through your simple texts, letters, hugs and words that mean more than enough. Without fail, you never give up on your kids and most importantly, you never give up on yourself; which speaks highly of you and it is something I will forever respect. You have taught me the importance of accepting yourself through love as well as the importance of loving others. You have taught me the importance of service and how to change a life. You have shown me the power of music. It's power to heal, to strengthen, to teach. You have taught me the ability to believe. To believe that you can accomplish any task if you put enough sweat and time into it. To believe that by faith, you can withstand any obstacle that comes your way. Believe that you have the capability to be something extrordinary, something meaningful, something powerful by believing in yourself. You have taught me the power to love. To love someone no matter who they are, what background they come from or what values they believe in. To love those who hurt you the most and to love those who love you back. To use love the way God loves. The way you love those you do not know, and the way you love your friends, your family and your husband, are the way I want to love and look at life. And for that, I want to thank you. Thank you for being my guidance, my role model, my guardian angel and my friend. Thank you for helping me become the person you see in me. Thank you for never giving up. And most importantly, thank you for being my mum. I have every reason to share braggings rights to my friends of the reasons why you are number one.
