'tis the season

[Day fourteen of 'The Fourteen Days of Thankfulness']
I am thankful for the gift of life. The gift that has offered so much beauty, termoil, dreams, challenges, luck, tragedy and adventure. Without life, we would be nowhere or no one. We would not exist. It's weird to think about and how it all started, but I don't care. I don't care how I got here or the science of it all. All that matters is that I am here and I am living. I couldn't be more grateful to have this opportunity to live and experience life.
"We only live life once. But if we do it right, once is enough."

[Day thirteen of 'The Fourteen Days of Thankfulness']
There are two people in this life that have given me more than I have ever given them. That have sacrificed more than I ever will. Two people that will love me unconditionally throughout all that I have and will go through. They are the biggest role models in my life and I would not be here without them.... literally. I am thankful for my two beautiful and amazing parents. They are God's gift to me as much as I am to them. I have two of the most influencial parents that help me better myself phsycially, mentally, spiritually and emotionally. They never have and never will give up on me and they continue to love and support me every single day without fail. I thank God everyday to have them in my life and I could not be more honored than to be their daughter.

[Day twelve of 'The Fourteen Days of Thankfulness']
I am thankful for temples. I am thankful for what they respresent. I am thankful for what they stand for and the dedication and truth you need to uphold in order to go inside. I am thankful for the countless amounts of blessings you receive from them. The promises they are willing to give and the happiness and purity they uphold. Temples are the most beautiful piece of architecture I have ever come across inside and out. I am thankful for what a temple means to me and, I hope that someday, I can walk into a temple with my best friend whom I will love always and forever as much as he loves me and have that chance to be married for all eternity.

[Day eleven of 'The Fourteen Days of Thankfulness']
Everything in life revolves around time. Without time, there are no limits. There are no goals, no dreams, no deadlines. Without time there is no improvement, no growth, or motivation. Life is all about time and it is up to us how we value that time that we are given in our lives. I am thankful for time in my life. Time to spend with my family, my friends, my significant others. Time to work. Time to study, learn and grow. Time to re-live, re-learn and re-do mistakes. Time to find what I love, what I do not love. Time to figure out my strength, my weaknesses and my needs. There is enough time in the world and to know how to live that time that is given to us is
more a blessing rather than a curse.

[Day ten of 'The Fourteen Days of Thankfulness']
"A day without sunshine is like a day without smiling" couldn't be more accurate, and for that, I am thankful for sunshine.
Without sunshine, there is no happiness. Without sunshine, there is no warmth. Without sunshine, there is no life.
I love those days where you just stop to feel the warmth on your face. Those days where you stop and just feel the suns energy reflect off of you. Those days where you refuse to go inside because the beauty and brightness of the sun creates this intense happiness over everything. Sunshine has become my form of medicine. A medicine to have a chance to feel peace. To feel love. To feel safe and warm. And for that, I am thankful for everything that sunshine gives.

[Day nine of 'The Fourteen Days of Thankfulness']
I am thankful for the Gospel; but more specifically,
I am thankful for the power of prayer within the Gospel.
I am thankful for God. Someone I call my friend, my savior, my father. I cannot count the emmendless amount of times I needed him and that through prayer, he has helped strengthen me, has given me support, comfort and love during times where I have felt worthless. I am thankful for prayer and the ability to share any thought and emotion in my heart to someone that will never judge me. Prayer has become my life-savor; my immediate coping mechanism
to feel or get rid of emotion.
"Fathers and mothers, pray over your children. Pray that they may be shielded from the evils of the world. Pray that they may grow in faith and knowledge. Pray that they may be directed toward lives that will be profitable and good. Husbands, pray for your wives. Express unto the Lord your gratitude for them and plead with Him in their behalf. Wives, pray for your husbands. Many of them walk a very difficult road with countless problems and great perplexities. Plead with the Almighty that they may be guided, blessed, protected, inspired in their righteous endeavors." - Gordon B. Hinckley

[Day eight of 'The Fourteen Days of Thankfulness']
I am thankful that I am raised into a family that enjoys working out.
I am thankful I was raised up with parents who enjoy hiking, biking, running, skiing and playing sports. Their passion for the outdoors and fitness grew into a passion of mine. Exercising has been my escape and my medicine. It has been my greatest past-time and my purest joy whether it is striving to make myself feel and look better or help others achieve their goals of feeling and
looking better about themselves.

[Day seven of 'The Fourteen Days of Thankfulness']
I am thankful for examples.
I have six examples in my life that I look up to more than anything. Six examples that have taught me what life is all about. Who and what matters the most. Six examples that helped me find myself. That helped me realize crucial lessons in life. They never fail to bring a smile to my face, offer a shoulder to cry on or fail to have their arms wide open. Life would be disasterous without them in my life. They are the most beautiful gifts that God has given me and I am so lucky and grateful to have six guardian angels by my side.
Thank you Jentry, Thank you Camille. Thank You Tiffany
Thank you Casey. Thank you Stefanie. Thank you Hannah.

  1. Alicia I love you so much.
    I'm thankful for YOU.
Thank you for being in MY life and being MY example.
You always make me think about things that I've never really taken the time to think about and I'm so grateful to you for that.

I loved this part : There is enough time in the world and to know how to live the time that is given to us is
more a blessing rather than a curse.
It's so true! There is enough time, plenty of it. Its just a matter of learning how to manage that time; I think that's one of our biggest challenges in life; is to learn how to spend our time, and prioritize.
I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving! Love you.
