worth fishing for

[Day six of 'The Fourteen Days of Thankfulness']

I am thankful for compliments.
I can't tell you how many times one simple compliment has changed the outlook
of my entire day. How one compliment brought long-lasting happiness. How one compliment helped better myself. How one single cimpliment, kept me motivates, moving forward, and a stronger person.

Compliments are the strongest and purest medication you could ever do for yourself and others. It helps create friends, lasting relationships and a more positive self. I remember back in High School, a girl came to school with a stack of copies of a paper that read "Free Compliments" with little tabs of paper she ripped off and gave to each individual that passed her in the hall. It sounds cheesy and somewhat tacky, but I can honestly say, her compliment affected me that day and it will be something I will always hold.
I am thankful for the amount of compliments I have received from the family and friends I am blessed to have in my life. I am thankful for the random strangers who pass me by at school or at work that say one simple word or that simple little napkin note that means more than they could possibly imagine.
I know you love receiving compliments just as much as I do and we need to send out those compliments in return. I challenge you to compliment one friend and one stranger everyday this week. It will bless your lives as well as others.
