four letters that can save the world

Last night was the night where I found myself on Vimeo and Netflix for the majority of my afternoon.
But instead of catching up on the latest drama on Gossip Girl or who is the newest zombie member on Walking Dead, I feed my thoughts, my heart and my soul with undiscovered knowledge through experiences of others.

That's right folks, I watch documentary after documentary.

Last night I found myself on a docomentary called I Am. It's about the mental illness of materialism that is becomming a world-wide epedemic, and the only thing that is powerful enough to save us from this illness is a four letter word that cannot be bought, sold or traded ---- Love; And love is inheretely free.

And what better way to love someone by serving them. They describe how everyone has the capability to be great, because everyone has the capability to serve. You don't have to have a college degree to serve. You don't need money to serve.
You don't have to knw the second theory of thermodynamics in phyics to serve. All you need is a heart full of grace.
A soul generated by love.

And love is the only thing that can save us in this world. Just as Jesus taught:

"Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.
Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for justice, for they shall be satisfied.
Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy.
Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.
Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.
Blessed are those who endure persecution for the sake of justice,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven."

So ask yourself.... are you caught up in this world-wide illness that bases our lives around materialistic items, the amount of likes you receive on an instagram image or the number of eyes that are staring at you as you walk on by?
Or maybe not... It only takes small adjustments to create large changes.

Serve more. Love more. Be more.

  1. Remember the little pink paper on Grandma's fridge? She lived it! "Love is the answer...No matter what the question."
