this is my heartbeat

Life is created in measurements that take us from high to low; 

just as a heartbeat. 

If you are not experiencing greatness or feeling as if you have failed a time 

or two, you are not living. 

That your perspective through your high's and low's 

are what determine your strengths and weaknesses. 

  The XX - "Heart Skipped a Beat"

Let me ask you something: 

If someone prays for patience, do you think God gives them patience? 
Or does he give them the opportunity to be patient? If they pray for courage, 
does God give them courage, or does he give them opportunities to be courageous? If someone prayed for their family to be closer, 
you think God zaps them with warm, fuzzy feelings? Or does he give them opportunities to love each other?

God is gracious enough to give us opportunities. 

Opportunities that underlie who we are and what we should become in his eyes. It is up to us on how we decide to take in the trials that we are faced or the gifts that we are blessed with. God gave us our heartbeats, He gave us our lives. 

Let us live all the ups and downs with a smile on our face, for no matter what occurs, at least you had the beautiful chance to live; 

and that's all that really matters.
