My first week of Summer break hasn't really felt like Summer. Mainly because the weather here can be bipolar. In the morning it will be Sunny, by afternoon a rainstorm will hit and by night you will be walking outside your door to snow on the ground. It's completely out of whack and being on Summer Break, I am not a big fan of cold weather because I want do something outside. But finally, mother nature read my mind and gave me a perfect day.
Yesterday it was finally the Summer weather I have been waiting for. Clear skies, sunlight with a slight breeze. It was literally perfection. Cook and I decided to go to our favorite Summer spot up Alpine Canyon called sliding rock
This place is beautiful.
There are several waterfalls along this trail, a gorgeous pond and several wildlife on your way up to the falls. The reason why everyone calls is sliding rock is because you can slide down the waterfall except yesterday, Cook and I weren't able to slide down because the water was too rapid and cold from all of the runoff.
But instead, we took pictures near the falls and on our hike.
It felt good to be outside again and scratch a few things off my summer bucket list.
BRING ON SUMMER 2011
